    I'm a little suspicious when talking about HDs in the past I've tried a range of different brands. But the ones that seems to last longer was the Western Digital ones. After a couple months after the upgrade on my mac seems to be working fine. Since it's no the main HD on my MacBook I don't know the speed comparison with the old one hitachi. I hope it lasts as long as the usual.

    I should have done my hard drive upgrade back day one on Nov 15 2013. A must to do on your list if you own a PS4. My old drive is going in my PS3. Just a reminder have a USB flash drive with current firm ware update.

    I've had problems with other brands before, and Western Digital seems to last longer than any other brand of drive. Never had a dead drive out of the box, nor had any problems with WD software.

    I had a SMART drive error on my old 500g drive, and this new 1tb drive is a great upgrade. Inexpensive, and the Geek Squad even cloned my old drive before it failed. I was back online for work in a day.
