Western and Digital hard drives I feel has always been the best hard drive that I've installed in my 25 years of working on computers.

Purchased this drive over a year ago and it continues to be sold. no disk errors or bad sectors to date.

My son built his computer with many special components to achieve his entertainment goal. He is a very happy "gamer."

Great value for a 2TB hard drive. The link to the Install Kit is broken. Having a hard time finding out instructions to format and transfer files.

As we all know, hard drives fail all the time. I find it very convenient to run to best buy and purchase a new one and install it.

Using as an external drive (Thermaltack/BlacX). Plenty of storage for Music, Files, Videos, etc. Easy to format for PC or Mac.

it's a good drive. it does everything it's supposed to. However, I bought this to put games on. I would not recommend this drive to someone who is looking for extra storage on their gaming PC. the download speed is terrible. again, if you don't game this drive is great.

hard to review a purchased returned unopened as "surplus to needs." B-) The box was nice, performing an excellent job of containing not only the drive and any instructions, but any presumed packaging material. Had a nice heft to it, too bad there was no space in the new computer for it. I'd recommend the box for any and all future considerations. Perhaps in the future I will have reason to open the seal and see how the contents are.

Good cache but low spin speed so I use it for a PC backup drive. WD drives are the best platter drives on the market.

Bought this to replace an older, smaller hard drive in my wife's PC. Works well, seems faster access time than the previous drive.

Bought this to use in an icydock enclosure -- backing up my Mac using carbon copy cloaner -- worked flawlessly -- great hard drive

This hard drive worked as advertised. One note to remember, as with any recent high capacity hard drive this one uses advanced 4k sector sizes. It works best with operating systems that recognize and utilize this feature.
