Bought this to get more space on my new computer I'm building and for anyone that uses a lot of space and doesn't need their files instantly loaded or doesn't mind waiting a second or two for a search, this is a great option compared to an expensive SSD. Completely worth the money.

Both my Dell desktops were just under 2 years old and both of them had their hard drives go out within a few weeks of each other. If course Dell wouldn't help me. Did some research and found out that I wasn't the only one that has had the same problem with these Dell hard drives. I love this hard drive. I got 2 of them. Super easy to install and was up and running in no time at all.

This item is cheaper ($ per byte) than other WD sizes options because it is SMR. The package did not specify this so please be aware. I don't know if others were PMR. Not recommended if you are a heavy disk user or building RAID. Should be fine if just for secondary space together with a SSD.

The hard drive in my computer apparently was in imminent danger of failing. I bought this hard drive to replace the failing drive. I was able to clone the old drive to this new one with surprising ease. When I booted up after installing this new one, it was like nothing had even tried to go wrong. Except for one extra reboot to install new drivers, you couldn't tell that anything had changed.

Our hard drive was starting to fail so we purchased this unit as a replacement. Better to replace sooner rather than later when data and files are still recoverable. We find the access speed for this new hard drive is fast, no lag when opening files. We are still running Windows 7 with Office 2016. Overall a very good hard drive for the money.

Needed more space so added this drive to our PC. Went in easy.

Install this drive in your laptop and it will save your data. There are faster drives, but this drive is sufficient for standard use.

Bought it to replace a ps4 hard drive. Way to install. Fast. Does the job.

I bought this as a replacement for another hard drive that will gasping at its last few breaths of life. I was able to copy the necessary files to this hard drive and be on my way. I have used only Western Digital hard drives over the past many eons and have rarely had any trouble unless they were just very old and worn out. I would definitely recommend this drive to everyone.

2tb for a good price with a name I trust. Not much I can say besides it does its job and does it right.

The easiest hard drive I ever installed. Smooth setup and good value.

I was getting indications that my 1TB drive was having problems during tests, so I decided to change it before it died. Bought the WD 2TB at a good price. Restored from Acronis backup and took off. It seems to be faster than my 1tb and has no problems. But it is quite a bit more noisy than the Seagate 1TB that came in my Dell. Actually, I can hear the drive working now when before I had to lean my head over and look at the tiny activity light that is on the front panel of the Dell. I didn't give it 5 stars because of the actuator noise. Otherwise it works fine.

Very easy to install and use. Great basic Hard Drive with lots of space for the price

It is a mechanical disk that spins at 5400 RPM and stores data. It does R/W operations based on the limitations of the SATA III interface. It came in a box, safely, to my house, in a reasonable amount of time. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a hard drive with space to store your things.

My hard drive bit the dust and I found this one which has double the memory I had originally. The price was a lot more reasonable than I thought it would be.

It works. That's what I bought it for. Nothing extra fantastic or magical, it just works as it should.

fast enough for what i wanted. it works perfectly and give me more space for storage
