Great hard drive. I’m using it with an external USB 3.0 drive housing and it works great. Easy set up quick format drive works flawless. I would highly recommend this product for those that are looking for an economical drive that does the job.

My old storage HDD just decided one day to just die. I considered getting an external drive, but if you can get a drive like this on sale I say go for it. Less cables, and now when it fills up I may buy another with a bigger size.

The installation was easy. The hard drive worked flawlessly. In fact the hardware was the easiest part of the installation. Good quality product. I would recommend to friends and family.

Have used Western Data hard drives for a number of years, and they have been dependable hard drives. This one was purchased to replace a really, really old hard drive in my current main desktop system. Expect to get lots of use from this hard drive -- like I have always gotten from WD before.

WDs blue drives are always my go-to for day to day HDD needs. In this case, the data drive in my desktop kicked the bucket and the WD blue got me back up and running the same day. Great performer and reliable.

Good reliable drive, with plenty of room for My storage needs. I have always depended on WD drives over the years and have never had an in warranty failure. These now sell for far less than they did years ago.

Hard drives are good for mass storage. Although slow compared to 2.5 or m.2 SSDs, they make up for it in their ability to storage a lot of data.

My son's hard drive died so I bought this one to replace it. The dead one was also Western Digital with a rather shocking eight years of heavy service. I have high expectations for this drive. Overall so far, the performance has met my expectations.

A reasonable price for a 2TB desktop drive that's primarily used for storage. The reason I purchased this WD drive is for the Acronis software that is bundled with it that would enable me to clone my current drive. However, the software only works if both drives are WD. Nowhere does it specify this and a call to WD tech support confirmed this. I spent significant time in locating a free utility software program that would clone the drives, otherwise I would have returned the drive and purchased a faster drive.

My hard drive crashed and bought this as a replacement back in July of 2014. So far so good. Swapped out the drive, re-installed operating system from back up DVDs' and my computer was up and running quickly. Basically plug and play. Hopefully this one will outlast my HP original, which lasted only long enough for it to be a few weeks out of warranty.

To clear up some of Best Buy's confusing naming scheme, these are Western Digital Green hard drives. I'm not sure why they renamed them as "performance", etc but the label on the hard drive itself shows it's a green. I'm using this in a Synology NAS so I wish I had known it was a Green but it seems to be working well. The price was right for the amount of space.

Once I got my computer to recognize the new drive, it was easy to use. I have it installed externally using a USB adapter and I use it to store large video files. It works flawlessly and I couldn’t be happier. Maybe I’ll get a 4TB drive next to store all my digital photos.

Easy to install and configure. Inexpensive extra storage

I have a Windows 8.1 Computer. One it it just froze. Nothing worked. I tried ctl, alt, delete, pulling plugs, reboots - nothing. I was told my hard drive died. I now have a beautiful Windows 10 which is significantly faster and cleaner.
