I needed to replace my main hard drive on my Open labs Miko timberland Edition that is a computer,a keyboard and audio interface. Loaded this hard drive in and now the board is running like a champ.

Basically I've never had a problem with Western Digital drives, so I wanted to stick with this brand. I didn't need a high performance drive, just a basic workhorse. The drive has performed well as a backup drive and I've had absolutely no problems with it.

We needed a slave drive for my son’s gaming pc and decided to go with this one. It wasn’t too bad to set up as I hadn’t worked on computers for several years now. The pins on the back didn’t come with a jumper but later I found that I didn’t need them. Otherwise, pretty good drive for what it costs.

My father's PC was running out of space because he likes to store videos. This was the perfect cure I used Acronis to clone his current drive to the new one and he was up and running within 15 minutes with more drive space than he knew what to do with.

The Standard for hard drives. Have used them since WD was created.

My friend PC only came with 128 GB of space so this was a great option if you're not going to play games that consume lots of ram and space. This is mostly for archives and video storage.

Computer is still running. I pick up my system, and it is still running. Before, I could not get it to the login page.

Installed 2 of these in a pc being converted into a Plex home server. Work as needed so far without the added cost of "NAS" drives. Too early to tell if they suffer from a shorter lifespan

Product worked as expected after formatting. It was a replacement for one that seemed near its end of life in a desk top comoputer. Most electronic items work good or not at all. No one at the BB store told me that hard drives now arrive unformatted. It cost me an extra trip to the store for the Geek Squad to format it. That is why I gave 4* and not 5* rating.

Great HD for the money, Western digital has always come through with great products. I've only had one issue with WD and they made it right with now issues or delays (not this product).

I needed to upgrade the storage capacity of one of my PC's hard drives. Highly reviewed by other purchasers, it was a natural to choose the Western Digital 2TB Sata drive, increasing my storage capacity four-fold!

I bought this hard drive for more storage because I have had few problems with Western Digital drives. It is now installed, partitioned and working fine in my system. Would prefer a 7200 RPM drive but decided to use this drive for Movies and backup and wanted a slower drive that may have more life with fewer problems at the end of the drives lifespan.

Good solid performer for storage. Have not had any problems with it since installation.

Excellent product used to replace a Samsung 2 T 3.5 Hard drive that failed right out of the box. This hard drive was so simple to install and use for major storage of audio and video files. Great for using as a media center / streamer with android tablets and phones. norm883

It works really great in my security system box so I could download videos onto my drives works wonders!

I messed up buying this hard drive. Should have researched it more and seen that the RPM is only 5800. Not a deal breaker and not worth my time to trade it back in since I don't think Best Buy carries any 7200RPM 2 TB hard drives. Works fine for what I am using it for and going strong for a month since I got it. NOTE: Does *NOT* come with a SATA cable!
