I don't typically see myself as a 'mainstream' user so I was a bit concerned that the performance of the drive would disappoint. I guess I would sum it up that for the price, it performs well. Benchmarks were middle of the road in my system, as expected. A very good value for a data storage drive.

This hard drive does its job. I have no complaint.

Got the product efficiently, easy to install, plenty of storage for a reasonable price.

I remember the days when a 100MB hard drive was extravagant and they cost three times or more than this one! RAM was also measured in either KB or MB. Now this 2TB behemoth is one of four drives I have for my Freenas home server and it's doing the job keeping all my data redundantly safe.

Fit in just right, no issues swapping it out with the old one.

I needed to replace and upgrade my iMac hard drive and this 2tb drive from WD was the perfect solution. Plus it came at a great price and was available locally. I am very happy with my decision.

Western Digital drives are much more reliable than other manufacturers. This drive was purchased as a backup drive for a file server and has worked flawlessly since installation. Runs cool and reliable.

Purchased this drive to replace a failing backup drive. Had a bit of a challenge sitting it up but after install it has been great. I would recommend it to anyone.

Decided to replace my internal hard drive myself so I purchased this one to replace it with. I had a friend who was savvy with these type of repairs assist me and we replaced it without issue and it is working great.

When my computer hard drive recently crashed and the data could not be restored, I purchased a Western Digital Mainstream 2TB Internal Serial ATA Hard Drive for replacement, This hard drive works fine and I have not had any issue with it since replacement (for the past 30 days).
