It 's a HDD that works in desktops. They have been around forever. The good thing is that if you get it from Best Buy, the advice and returns are equally helpful and accessible. I buy these types of things in store because I know I can bring it back, same day, if I need to.

I always use western digital drives and this one it was a lot faster than the other ones that I have tested.

The more memory in a computer the better for storage. I need to make animated movies and with less storage than 2 TB internal series ATA Hard Drive for desktops it would be a waste of my time.

Solid built hard drive that runs at a decent temp. Read speed is good enough to use for game installs. Write speed is pretty much typical of any consumer grade 2TB mechanical hard drive these days. Own three of them so far, none have failed. Really have no complaints about it at this point.

I've had 4 hard drives of another brand crash in the last 12 months. Western Digital is what I use at work and now at home with the peace of mind that I'll get several years of use.

This additional drive is a lifesaver for me. I can now put my DAZ program and content on the new drive and therefore speed up my workflow.

A recent purchase and installation. So far so good. No problems experienced setting it up as a secondary drive. My first Toshiba hard drive purchase to replace a failed Seagate. If this hard drive stays functional, would definitely consider purchasing another.

Not much to say other than it being a great all around hard drive. Even in the age of SSD’s there’s still a place for good old fashioned hard drives.

I used this WD Mainstream internal Serial ATA hard drive with the Insignia external drive adaptor to add recording space on My Dish Network recorder. Easy to assemble and use

Need to upgrade my internal storage in my desktop computer.. i have been using WD products for decades so looked to see who was having a sale and that turned out to be bestbuy.. .

The drive was a replacement for a failed HDD in an external enclosure. The installation on a Mac was very easy and trouble fee. Was up and running very quickly. Couldn't have been more pleased.

Got these on sale for the same price as what 1 tb used to be at 49.99 could pass up on an extra terabyte for 10 dollar more.

Has all the space my son needs for his gaming pc!!

It’s a great option if you need to store additional games on your pc and don’t want to purchase additional (more expensive SSDs)

I had a hard drive that was going out (old hard drive from an old computer) on my new computer I had built a few months ago. So it was doing wacky things and running slow at some points. I was going to get a new drive but needed it that day. I looked on Amazon and the price was actually better at Best Buy. I was able to pick it up that day. Because of the Covid stuff they only were open for pickup. So I just drove up and gave them my order info and they brought it right to my vehicle. Great Service and Product.
