Just needed to replace a drive in my Drobo and this did the job

have purchased many drives and they work as expected.

ok. had hard drive of laptop replaced and bought new HD to transfer data from one computer to the new HD. Was not told I would need a HD to first transfer data to it and then this data would be transferred to new HD. Not all data transferred over. Not very happyl Had own HD and told it as defective and could not be used. Only after I purchased a new HD did I learn that the defective HD could have been reprogrammed! Last time I will use this service from Geek Squad.

WD is always a trusted brand for me. I bought these for an upgrade. Only issue I had is I moved the data via USB not realizing Windows would lock the drive. I ended up having to back up the data twice. This isn't due to the HDD although I wish this was in the install manual from WD. The product though is rock solid!

this drive would be fine for a primary or a backup drive

Great Produce. My Hard Drive Crashed and they put this one in they were able to save all of my programs that I had on my old hard drive and my pictures

Tech installed and was worth the price i paid.....

This HD was for my son's first computer build and came well reviewed. functioned well for 1.5 years but then started to malfunction. After hours on windows repair/BIOS/ Command prompt screens by me... not a super tech savvy parent... I learned that the OS was not actually on the HD anymore and when I tried to reinstall, the warning was that the disk was likely to fail soon. Thanks to the internet I was told to heed this warning and replace the HD... should have lasted longer than 1.5 years. because we had a second computer for my son to use it has been months without his primary computer and we are just now getting around to diagnosing and fixing the problem. We worked on the issue in bits and pieces to find the root cause. Maybe we were just unlucky.

So far, I've had good luck with Western Digital products. Please note that this is a standard HDD for every day use. If you want to install this on a NAS (or any systems that runs 24/7), I suggest you go with Western Digital RED PLUS products.

It works, good size, bought it on sale so I was content with price.
