Original hard drive stopped spinning. Plugged this drive in its place and was able to load with USB recovery I had made after original pc purchase. Good to go.

Worked fine right out of the box. It would have been nice if they had told me it needed to be formatted before I used it but customer support was great and it was up and running in no time.

Works exactly as intended. The installation was a bit longer than I would have like but it still runs alright.

An incredible hard drive. It works well with Windows XP and seven. And so far, no complaints.

I do lots of upgrades and repairs using WD Mainstream drives. I've never had a customer return a machine with HD problems. I use them for personal use as well and never disappointed.

Overall decent hard drive. The description on Bestbuy website is inaccurate, it says 64MB cache size. But I looked the model number up after I installed it, it’s the 256 MB cache model. It also uses SMR recording technique. Realistically, it doesn’t mean it’s a bad hard drive. 2TB at this price point is decent. Just keep it in mind, if the drive lost power during writing, all data in the the whole active cluster is lost. This is unfortunately how SMR hard drive works, it’s more likely to cause data corruption when encounter unexpected shutdowns.

I always have had windows PC . this is my first time I purchased a Mac . I had some problem getting use to it in the beginning. Now I am very happy with it.
