WD Blue drives have always been my favorite replacement go to's Was purchased for an drive failure in a NVR Basically a plug-in Works flawlessly.

I built my own computer 2 m.2 memory and 1 TB ssd and I'm using this HD as my Back up. You just never know when something will fail. for the price I sleep better at night knowing I have a back up.

Good product, easy to use, quiet and medium speed.

A fantastic deal on storage for the price. Quite fast compared to my older high volume 5400 rpm hard drive. And to top it off, pricing was actually lower than big-name online competitors.

I replaced the main hard disk with an SSD but needed some cheap, bulk storage to handle the large files we were creating. This drive proved to be perfect for the application and is doing a great job in that role.

Purchased this 2TB hard drive to replace an almost full 1TB drive. A BIG help in cloning the new drive was the WD software that was available for download from the WD site. Although time consuming (due to the size of the drive) the procedure went well.

2TB drive for 60 dollars is an amazing deal compared to other competitors. Despite being 5400RPM only it’s still a bit faster than my old 7200RPM 500GB HDD from Toshiba. While Speeds of HDD doesn’t really matter especially for gaming, but moving large amount of files kind of does, I had around 428GB of files I had to move from my previous drive (Toshiba) and it took less than 20 minutes. It’s also very quiet as well even when moving a lot of files or just general use.

I would say that t works faster then the green version of the same product little faster, it took few hours to backup every thing from the green wd 2tb I had for about 4 years I believe now. interesting if would give same performance for video editing or recording as a video surveillance system. over all I believe that 2 tb just open the appetite for having more

Seems to be doing great. Installed it as additional storage in my Lenovo LOQ desktop. It installed easily in the case easily. It took me a bit to find out how to properly initialize it but it seems to be functioning well. Dropping and retrieving files is easily done.

Great secondary storage drive. Paired in my system with a 250GB SSD. Great speeds for files, not sure how well it would perform as an OS drive. 5400 RPM as opposed to the 1TB size running at 7200. Still a good deal and a good drive.

This was a good value because it was fairly priced. It was also easy to install and worked well.

Yes, its an older form factor, and likely a bit on the slower side, and of course its more sensitive to shock or strong magnetic fields than anything solid-state...but its still 2TB for under $60. Thats a lot of cat videos...or whatever it is that you're downloading.

Its a hard drive thats used for storage. Fairly self explanatory

Great price for it and so far so good. Came with screws and it was easy to connect for my computer. You will need to buy a sata cable though.

This Western Digital 2TB hard drive works just as well as the more expensive drives but costs less. I had no trouble installing it and it works fine thus far. It has lots of room for the money.

OK, one cannot really review a hard drive after owning it only a month. Unless its bad out of the box you still don't know anything about its reliability, a huge factor for hard drives. I have had good results with other Western Digital HDDs so I expect long life from this one as well. If I think of it I'll update this review in 3 years. :-) I bought this drive to replace my system's original HDD which was failing with uncorrectable errors in a few dozen sectors. I was disappointed that the included drive migration software -- Acronis TrueImage -- would not clone the drive after finding the bad sectors. This is not a big deal, though, just download the free version of HD Clone and use it.

Added this hard drive to my wife's new computer for some more picture space . Very easy install works perfectly. Never had a problem WD !!!!!!

Got this to replace a 1TB seagate drive that was failing. Got it for a decent price and extremely easy to install. As a primary drive it works good, but is loud compared to the seagate drive. Other than that.....pretty happy with its performance!
