Install this drive in your laptop and it will save your data. There are faster drives, but this drive is sufficient for standard use.

Works as advertised. It's the reliability that counts, and hopefully it will perform reliably over time. Didn't much care for the Acronis software for cloning.

Needed a small internal HD for an older DVR. Was happy to find they are still available at BB. I was able to get the system back up and running in not time.

Pros: Fast performance for value. Easy instructions to replicate previous drive. Cons: None

I've been purchasing Wd for years now and when my wife wanted extra space to store our family photos and iTunes movies I headed down to my local best buy. Of course the staff was knowledgeable and eager to help as always. Been running this for a month now and no problems. Plug and start, worked as soon as I partitioned it. Would recommend if you're looking for extra storage space and don't have the money for a cloud external.

It works. That's what I bought it for. Nothing extra fantastic or magical, it just works as it should.

HD was purchased for a HeimVision security camera system for the home. I have 4 cameras set to lowest sensitivity and programmed to record during movement. 2TBs was enough hard drive space. It used approximately 1% of the space daily. The HD was necessary to record security footage instead of just enabling it as live viewing.

My son needed a hard drive for his gaming desktop. When he asked me to get a Western Digital, I didn’t even hesitate to order it and do a curbside pickup on the same day. It didn’t take him long to install and get his desktop going. I’ve had WD hard drives many moons ago and they’ve never failed me.

As soon as I gave them my name at curbside the attendant was back with my order within a couple of minutes. As it was raining, and the attendant not wanting me to roll down my window and getting wet, he motioned for me to open the trunk and I did. I stayed dry and all ended well. One very satisfactory experience

Needed to copy some files from a failing drive and this was just the ticket. ordered it online and drove to the store, gave them my order number and the associate came right out with it. I chose the WD drive because I've used them for years and have always had good luck with them, and, I am hard on hard drives. :)

This hard drive was simple to insert and hook up. Runs smoothly and quietly. Performs great!

If you must be a cheapskate like some folks, and skip on the SSD drive version, then this is a decent drive to fall back on. I usually get these for people who don't care a ton about performance and just want to get their system back up and running on a budget. Western Digital (WD) has been making these drives for decades. Consider it the Chevy of hard drives. It'll get the job done, you just won't draw any attention while doing it.

Bought this to get more space on my new computer I'm building and for anyone that uses a lot of space and doesn't need their files instantly loaded or doesn't mind waiting a second or two for a search, this is a great option compared to an expensive SSD. Completely worth the money.
