I was getting indications that my 1TB drive was having problems during tests, so I decided to change it before it died. Bought the WD 2TB at a good price. Restored from Acronis backup and took off. It seems to be faster than my 1tb and has no problems. But it is quite a bit more noisy than the Seagate 1TB that came in my Dell. Actually, I can hear the drive working now when before I had to lean my head over and look at the tiny activity light that is on the front panel of the Dell. I didn't give it 5 stars because of the actuator noise. Otherwise it works fine.

Needed to rebuild my system after a 7-year-old Toshiba drive bit the dust, and this was on the shelf, ready to go and reasonably priced so I brought it home. Two hours later, I'm back online with a freshly installed operating system.

This hard drive has huge storage and is easy to get up and running.

A reasonable price for a 2TB desktop drive that's primarily used for storage. The reason I purchased this WD drive is for the Acronis software that is bundled with it that would enable me to clone my current drive. However, the software only works if both drives are WD. Nowhere does it specify this and a call to WD tech support confirmed this. I spent significant time in locating a free utility software program that would clone the drives, otherwise I would have returned the drive and purchased a faster drive.

Need more capacity. I bought this to build open frame case PC. Turn out is good fit in. I assure that I need more capacity on this. Will definitely recommended.

Added this drive to my system to store my gopro video and music files. No issues with installation and performs well for multimedia use.

Be sure u check the specs on your computer before buying and installing any new hardware this was easy to install and run great on my computer.
