I purchased this drive to replace a failing drive in a small tower computer. I've found WD drives to be more reliable than many other manufacturers over the years. They are a cost effective way to replace and/or increase the amount of disk storage in computers used in the home that do not require super fast access speeds offered by SSD's.

I bought this drive to use as an internal backup storage drive for music and photographs. Since it has twice the capacity of the primary drive, I should be good for awhile. WD drives are reliable.

WD Blue is a reputable brand and i have drives from them dating back to 2010. I've never had one of their drives fail. The drive was packaged nicely to prevent damage to the plates.

This purchase is a good buy for the price. Convenient and easily accessed.

Gosh, it's a hard drive. Install in machine (Dell's use their plastic tray, so you have to get one of those if you need to), attach SATA data cable (some, like the Dell, require a right-angle connector so the case cover can be installed), install power cable (If you have an old power supply that uses MOLEX connectors you need an adapter), close the case and turn on the unit. Check the BIOS to make sure the SATA drive connection is turned on, and if the machine doesn't recognize the new HDD (say, if you installed this as an additional drive) then to to Computer Management (Right click 'computer' desktop icon, click 'manage', click 'disk management' and you can then tell the CPU to read this drive) There's a driver that installs automatically, and then the HDD works like a fully accessible HDD. No problemo. And being a Western Digital, should last a long time. All the above for a Win 7 refurbished machine.

Purchased to replace a failed external backup drive. Accepts 2.5 and 3.5 inch drives. Currently have one of each will be switching the 2.5 inch drive out for another 2TB 3.5 inch drive for a total of 4TB of backup and storage. Drives are easy swappable and have had zero errors or issues.

Tittle says it all...works good at a good price...i had a little trouble formating it...i usually run Xp os...but had to connect my win7 hd to format it...had to use win7 disk management utility...but after thats it worked on my Xp os... I would have bought 2 of these HD but best buy only had 1 on the shelf...

Seems to work great. Very easy to install and it was packaged very well. In fact it went in so easy I thought I did something wrong. be advised that is does not come with a sled to mount it on.

I bought two of these hard drives after my external hard drive crashed. They run very quietly and have excellent access times even after prolonged rests. I am going to get more of these to mirror my current drives for back up.

I find that all products from Western Digital are of the highest quality. I know I can count on them to work well for me. I must have 15 or 20 WD products in my home network. None of them have ever given me any trouble at all. The price per Gigabyte is hard to beat. I love these drives.

Good solid performer for storage. Have not had any problems with it since installation.

Computer is still running. I pick up my system, and it is still running. Before, I could not get it to the login page.
