The hard drive works as it should and performs fast and flawlessly!!

we use these in raid set ups at work and it is a great drive when one of ours goes down.

Replaced small drive with this one to increase storage in desktop.

Needed to replace my failed WD Black drive. Because of the liability factor of WD drives, I went with this intermediate drive because of the cost factor. Quite satisfied with the drive, except for the noise.

There needs to be some repair software to quickly remove bad sector flags that are false. The bad sector flags were valid on the decaying disk that was imaged onto the new disk at installation time. My search for repair software included Microsoft, and many others through Google, but came up only with a very slow and through de-fragger that did the trick in a brisk 48 hour session.

This hard drive is very good I always use the kind when I built a pc.

Was recommended by Geek Squad to replace my corrupted hard drive. My 4yr old PC works like new again :)

When I need a replacement drive, this is the drive I choose every time. In my experience, the drives have good longevity (6 to 8 years, the industry standard is about 5 years). If you need to replace an old drive (and I recommend replacing hard drives long before they fail if the data is important to you) you can't go wrong with this drive. To be safe, get a S.M.A.R.T. drive monitor to keep tabs on the drive health.

I was looking for a full SATA digital drive, and I ended up with this one by mistake. I thought it was bit deceptive to call it a "SATA" drive when in fact its a disc drive, but the SATA reference is to the wiring connection form. For a disc drive it works fine and provides a really good value for the money, but I only expect three or four years out of it at best. Disc drives fail far faster than a true digital SATA drive. So I plan to put in a digital SATA as a synced backup anyways.
