its actually working great, great product love the 2TB. i have western digital in my other three gaming computers.

I’ve always used WD products and this one doesn’t disappoint

2TB for $50. That's all that needs to be said. The amount of value that this product has for the price is so high that I have purchased two of them. They're perfect for storing games (especially as game sizes have swelled to hundreds of gigabytes over the past few years) and other media like videos and movies. I would NOT recommend installing your operating system (e.g. Windows, Linux) on this or any other hard disk drive. Instead, you should purchase a solid state drive (SSD) for that purpose.

Fast for a non-SSD, and good price. Great for what it is. Doesn't come with a SATA cable though.

WD makes good drives. Yes any man made electronic product can smoke one day. However WD has a good history which is why they have been around this long. I had to build a new server for someone. They had 2 new Western Digital 2TB drives in the equipment they provided. I needed an additional drive for a RAID 5 setup. Went to BB and they had the exact same drive. To be able to get a drive for less than $100 and create a RAID 5 storage for a PC or server. Fantastic!

Good quality, easy to install, cheap price, fast performance

I had been waiting for the 2TB class of drives to drop in price a bit. I have an older WD Studio external FW drive that came with 750GB (which was large when I purchased the external in 2008). I picked up this WD 2TB to replace the still running 750. Installation was easy and the new 2TB is humming along. The drive's warranty is pretty standard at two years, but I'm hopeful it will keep running as long as the prior 750GB did, 6 years of intermittent use. Throughput is limited by the FW800 interface. I've had no issues with speed nor drive disconnects. This external case is hanging off a 2011 Mac Mini. Drive has three partitions, one of which is a boot partition I've been using for testing Yosemite. Overall, I'm happy with the drive, and the price from BB. I would recommend this drive to anyone looking for reasonable performance in a 3.5 SATA drive.

Seem reliable and great value for the price. I've purchased about 15 of these (2TB version) in the last 24 months and haven't had any bad ones. Will continue to purchase.

2TB sata hard drive works great for my backup unit, and the price was reasonable.

Bought this WD drive to replace a Tivo hard drive, worked like a charm! Over the years any of my hard drive needs have been met or exceeded with WD products, just buy/deploy/relax !!! Very pleased with price/performance/quality.

Slapped platen drive this into my kiddos PC for extra storage. Works great for everyday computing. I installed a NVME M.2 for the OS and programs.

Super easy to use. Fast and with lots of storage. I have zero computer skills and I was able to replace the old one, for this one and install windows with no problem at all. Easy and simple to use.

I need to replace my hard drive, it was starting to crash, instead of just replacing it I installed a Solid State Drive instead for the Programs and I installed this Drive for storage, my computer is now running quicker than before and I have enough storage for what I do.

I bought this as a gift for my cousin and it works well to this day. Its one of the fastest mechanical drives on the market. If you are looking for a storage drive that can play some modern games this is a good budget buy.

This is a great hard drive. I installed it in my pavilion PC in the extra slot. Needed an extra SATA cable and power supply cable. Needed a clone program to clone my old failing 1 TB drive to this new 2 TB drive. It all worked as expected. The new drive is fast and so far so good!

Runs well and hasn’t died after 2 years. Pretty fast, doesn’t make me regret having it versus my ssd’s

With all the info out there giving high praise to SSDs, I took a chance on this mechanical drive because of the low price point. It has been beyond worth it. It's fast, cheap, and the data capacity is bountiful.

I was gonna buy a 1TB hard drive but when I saw the price of this 2TB hard drive for just slightly more than a 1TB I grabbed it! I have had great previous experience with Western Digital hard drives so this was an easy choice. So far great as usual. I highly recommend this product.
