Got a great deal on it when I bought it. Now I have 2 of the same size in my tower aside from 3 external hard drives (I shoot a lot of videos, pictures plus capture audio hence the huge amount of storage needed). Would buy another one at the drop of a hat!

This is a great HHD

We are actually using them in a mirrored configuration on a on a few hundred light-weight servers without any problems. Regardless of what SATA drive you purchase, make sure that it doesn't pass through a MOLEX connector from the Power Supply Unit. Those PSU connections are notorious for frying HHDs. Again - These are great drives for the price.

Great Data Drive replacement for my desktop.

I pretty much always stick with Western Digital drives. The one I replace was a Seagate. All went well with the installation and configuration of the drive. The drive it replaced was a data drive and not the primary. Luckily i had plenty of backups of the data so nothing was lost.

good, quiet, long-lasting hard drive

This is perfect for storing lots of data; but when I buy a system drive then I get a Samsung Evo SSD (solid state drive) instead.
