Customers are saying

Customers frequently mention the ample storage, strong performance, and ease of installation as significant advantages of the Blue 2TB PC Internal Hard Drive. The drive's affordability is also frequently praised. A small number of users noted the lack of an included SATA cable and some difficulties with the included cloning software.

New 2TB hard drive is much quieter than original and very pleased with low price and free install with our Geek Squad coverage. Going to try to keep my electronics purchases with Best Buy because of this.

I've only had it a month, but it seems speedy, it has 2 TB, and it stores my games just fine. Can't ask for much more, will update if it has any issues! Just one FYI--make sure you have an extra SATA cable on hand, I had a brain hiccup & figured one would come in the box. (Spoiler--it doesn't)

I have an older machine, It was a top end Vista Machine and still works great. 3000+ Athelon 64 X2, and I needed more room to upgrade to Windows 10 pro. I migrated to the new drive with a drive manager program made by Paragon very effortlessly, and upgraded to Windows 10 effortlessly, and now have tons of extra room, and a three year warrantee on the drive.

Needed a simple storage drive and this is exactly that. I didn't care about speed, but this is still a good drive regardless. I just wanted the storage space at a great price!

Reason for Purchase: Bought it because my only harddrive died, and I needed a brand new one to replace it. Review: What can you say in a review for a harddrive? It does what it's supposed to do, plain and simple. Nothing wrong with it. But I can say that structurally, physically-speaking, it was super easy to put into my computer. I have never done it before and it took one YouTube video the day before it came in the mail, and 2 minutes to put in and hook it up. I turned on the computer and changed a setting as it asked, the rebooted. I had no operating system, so it's just a blank drive. So I had Windows 10 Pro that I bought separately here, and put that in to boot from first, and after it installed, I did the F2 or DEL, and chose to boot from the WD harddrive. Then bam! Windows loaded, I went through the options and settings and the computer was resurrected! Thank God for YouTube and this drive!

I have bought over 100 western digital drives over the years and they have always been reliable. I have had a few that had to be replaced under warranty, but was always replaced in a timely manner, and sometimes with larger capacity drives. I have several western digital drive that have been running nearly 24/7 for over 8 years.

Model number on box doesn't match drive...

Could be my fault, could be manufacturer error or anyone's error really. I was in the store looking at hard drives, because i am upgrading boot drives in our gaming rigs and one of our computers has a hard drive from like 2013-2015 thats only roughly 1 tb, The model number on the box doesn't match the hard drive so in the store when I searched it up before purchasing I was under the impression it was 7200 RPM's, until I opened the drive at home about to install it realizing it was a different model number with no rpm indication on the drive itself, I looked up the second model number and found it was only 5400 rpm - I had to order another drive elsewhere for my initial intended use, but since it was on sale and it would cost over half of what was spent on the item in gas to return, Opened but haven't used yet, most likely i'll put it in another computer as a 3rd hard drive.

I bought this drive to serve as a backup drive when i moved to a new job. I wanted to take all my old files with me and used this drive as a storage drive. It is not going to be the speediest drive (even compared to other conventional hard drives) for everyday tasks but for backups and such this drive will work great and at a good price!

I need to purchase a new drive quickly, as my current drive was failing. I checked the Best Buy website for deals and of course, they had some. I went into my local store and bought it. The drive installed quickly and easily. Partioning the drive was a snap! The performance is quite decent and it runs prettt smooth and quiet. Great price for a 2TB HDD!

Was looking for WD Black but settled for this one, price was too good to pass, this is a replacement for my No 2 drive which is for music and photos .was running out of space. noticed some sluggish performance while editing raw photos, able to resolve it by reinstalling the software, still scratching my head about that, so far it is working better than the first time...anyways I would recommend it, for price and capacity, speed is fine for a 5400 rpm drive...

Purchased to use as a replacement data drive for a system with an SSD as the primary drive. No issues installing. it did come with 4 mounting screws, which I find ironic, since it does NOT provide the SATA interface cable. For those who may be asking, this model did come with the Acronis cloning software.

Always good to have a trusty & proven a HDD to backup your SSD. Also helps to save room on your SSD with picture & video storage. The proven track record of HDD will always make you sleep well at night (my first HDD lasted 7 years under heavy use).

2TB for $50. That's all that needs to be said. The amount of value that this product has for the price is so high that I have purchased two of them. They're perfect for storing games (especially as game sizes have swelled to hundreds of gigabytes over the past few years) and other media like videos and movies. I would NOT recommend installing your operating system (e.g. Windows, Linux) on this or any other hard disk drive. Instead, you should purchase a solid state drive (SSD) for that purpose.
