I installed the drive and installed the acronis software to move my data from old drive to larger new drive. The acronis software failed during to process and the computer is locked in a reset, reboot cycle. Haven’t been able to cure it yet... sigh.

The first hard drive was defective
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased the hard drive to replace one in my PC. An independent computer repair center was to doing the work. They determined that the hard drive was defective. Because of this problem and other PC issues, I decided to bring the PC to the "Geek Squad" for repair. They concurred that the HD was defective and replaced it at no charge, since I had purchased it at Best Buy. Ultimately, the "Geek Squad" was able to get my system up and running again a few days later. My only complaint was difficulty in monitoring progress of the work. They recommended signing on to a Best Buy account designed to update status of repairs. The one and only update was " a technician has been assigned". Because of new Best Buy policies, contacting the "Geek Squad" by telephone is near impossible. I was given a reservation to pick up my equipment on Saturday morning at a specific time. I was there exactly on time and was told that there were some problems and it was not ready. Would have been nice if someone called me to let me know that the PC would not be ready before I drove 10 miles to make the appointment. For those reasons, the best rating I can give is a three star!

All of the techs were very helpful and courteous. Job well done folks!!!
