It's a hark disk
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Rebuilding my home media server and found out my RAID controller didn't support the drives I had on hand as they were over 2TB. These were the drives my local store hand in stock. Would it be nice to have a faster drive? Yes, but when you need something "now" your not going to be too choosie. The real test of a hard drive is now it performs over time. The verdict is still out in that department.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The Mainstream line of Western Digital drives are the same as their Blue line of drives so I had a Blue drive and didn't have issues with it til a while back, so they are pretty rugged drives so decided to get this drive because it was local to me, and it was on sale.

Get's the job done

Would I rely on it to store applications and files on for 5 years? Yes, I would expect it to last about 5 years performing in mediocrity.

Great Desktop Drive

Installed and up and running with no issues. Read/Write speed was great when I transferred a large amount of files off of a backup drive.
