Would I rely on it to store applications and files on for 5 years? Yes, I would expect it to last about 5 years performing in mediocrity.

Great HDD for Desktop

I bought this one to upgrade an older system. I used Acronis to image the old drive and clone it to the new one. Swapped drives booted on the new one. Up and running in under 2 hours.

Installed and up and running with no issues. Read/Write speed was great when I transferred a large amount of files off of a backup drive.
