    I can always count on WD products as I use them for CCTV systems. They last a long time, and only negative about the blue is it does not perform as well as the purple

    It's a hard drive. It will eventually break down like they all do. I haven't decided which is better, Western Digital or Seagate. I got this to be a clone of my really old existing HDD. I will periodically backup to this drive so it is a hot running spare.
