    WD makes an OK hard drive. I'm sure others would argue with me on this point by saying they are the long time standard-bearer of hard drives. My overall issue is its energy management software. In short, all Western Digital drives spin down much too quickly and take themselves off-line. Overall, it's not a terrible trait. It's just annoying when you leave the drive alone for 5 minutes, it spins down and then interrupts your workflow when you call on it and it needs to spin back up. I prefer Seagate's Barracuda line.

    I got this to replace the 500 Gigabyte hard drive that came with my PS4 because the 500 Gigabytes is not a good amount of storage anymore with each game today being over 50 Gigabytes. I've had it for less than two weeks so i can't comment on durability. The only reason I gave this hard drive 4 stars and not 5 is because it's nowhere near as fast as a solid state drive. I would've gotten a solid state drive but one of the same size as this hard drive costs more than a new PS4 Pro so it's not practical to get one. If you need more storage for your PS4 I would recommend this hard drive.
