I went into the store expecting to buy a large drive for my PC. I looked at the selection and this one had a great clearance price on it. It was much smaller than what I was going to buy, but I just couldn't pass up the deal. So it came home with me and now stores all of my music and some other personal stuff. It's not what I wanted, but it works great for it's size. I'd buy it again at that price!

Lots of storage and was priced fairly cheap. Works good on my sons computer.

This is a nice performing HDD. Not super fast but did not expect it to be since it is WD blue. If you want fast response get a black HDD.

This was a Christmas gift for my husband and he loved it. He said it was a great purchase and he loves it! I would recommend this product to a friend and to my family as well.

I knew what I was getting when I ordered this, so I'm not disappointed. But yeah, it's pretty slow. I'd advise not using it for an OS or programs drive unless you can help it (get the next drive up), as I've installed a couple of Steam games on it and they take longer than I'd like to load. The drive contained within is actually the WD30EZRX (so the WD Green series). Being the Green series, it's 5400rpm and REALLY quiet. I can't hear it spin up, seek or anything. Runs cool, too.

I only use Western Digital drives, over the last few years the quality of Seagate drives has fallen off the table. Performance and reliability of WD drive is so much better, you could build two systems one with WD and the other Seagate and just time the boot to desktop times to see for yourself.. a huge difference. Saving $5 and buying a Seagate drive will cost you more in the long run.

Not sure what to really say but it works. I got the drive because it was on sale, and mainly using this hard drive as a backup drive so I can have 2nd backup of another drive. Never hurts to have a backup of a backup in my case.

After fussing with Windows 7 64-bit I was final able to get the system to recognize the new HD. For some reason it didn't want to Plug & Play. After going to administrative control setups, I easily found the new HD drive and assign it a new drive name to. Its working great now.

I have always loved Western Digital hard drives, this has great speed and tons of space!

lots of space and easy install... great about of storage for the price

My main hard drive died and was looking for a lot of storage for a little price and this drive fit the bill. The drive is is setup as GPT partitioned drive and not MBR so you will have to use a third party partition application to shrink or enlarge the one partition. I am using Window 10 Pro and the GUI drive manager does not like handling the new GPT partition.

Very good performance and speed, excellent product

As usual, Western Digital has the very best when it comes to hard disk drives. They have several models (Green - good for everyday use; Blue - common with most computers you buy, just 5400 RPM; Purple - good for surveillance; Black - 7200 RPM, great for audio and video editing; and Red - for network servers). I use my 3TB Blue for weekly back-ups of all my data.

Can't believe how cheap storage is these days. 3TB hard drive for $70ish at my local Best Buy and it's now installed in my HTPC. Super pleased with the quality of the drive so far and Western Digital drives have proven to be some of the most reliable on the market. No way to go wrong if you're looking for quality and quantity as long as you don't need SSD speeds.
