    I use these hard drives to back up our system and need a new one approximately ever 3 months. I have a few duds and a few which failed after the warranty expired but overall it's been a relatively good product.

    The WD 3 TB disk drive is to replace a 3 TB from another manufacturer that started failing in a few months and completely failed in about a year. So far this drive is working as expected.

    I was just going to get the 1 terrabite hard drive, but this one was on sale for only twenty dollars more then the one terrabite. Seems to work pretty well.

    The drive is a great value, but suffers from slow access times. Though not a fault of the drive, Windows setup on a drive larger than 2TB can be tricky.
