Purchased this WD 500GB hard drive while it was on sale for a project and it was packaged well and came with everything needed to do a solid installation. I've probably purchased a couple thousand WD drives of various sizes over the years including EasyStores and Passports. If you're expecting supersonic performance, consider their SSD lineup. However, with this hard drive providing 7200 RPMs, it will locate your data faster than your existing 5900 or less hard drive, and will operate for years. Quiet performance and excellent reliability.

Easy to replace for laptops and beginners as well..

My previous hard drive kicked bucket and I was in need of a new one asap. This was easy to install and it's pretty quick compared to my old one. No real issues since I bought it a few months ago.

This was a replacement for a laptop that I dropped. it works as good or better than before I dropped it.Western Digital makes great hard drives. It was easy to install and to reload Windows seven on it.

Had a smaller hard drive to begin with which kept the cost of the computer low. Eventually after a couple years it failed and brought it to geek squad for an upgrade. Only use for small tasks Internet and email. Larger size helps computer run faster and more efficiently.

Replaced a failing drive in a six year old Toshiba. No performance problems since.

Nice slim SATA.. Fits right into my drum machine. With 500Gb I have more than enough space.Easy to install.The only reason for 4 stars is that it doesn’t come with four small screws to screw it down .I found the screws I need from a old keyboard.

I have only had this new Samsung S6 for a week but I am very happy with it. The sales experience at Best Buy was great. We initially thought about leaving without the phone because we were told it would take 2 hours to complete the process but Carla stepped up her game and got us done in 2 hours.

I bought this to fix a laptop I dropped. I installed it and loaded windows 7. It is quicker now than the Toshiba hard drive that was oem ON a satellite. It is a cheap way to fix a broke laptop. I was glad to be able to do it myself. Western Digital makes a great hdd.

The best recommendation by the geek squad to upgrade my laptop to install 500G hard drive. It worked like a brand new computer.

the hard drive went out on my daughter's laptop and this was just what we needed. Very easy to pick up from Best buy and easy to switch out into her laptop.
