Hard Drive

I went to the department that had replacement hard drives and purchased a new one gave it to the Geek Squad and they replaced it, loaded all the software and I am back in the game. Geek Squad is great!!

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I boot from an SSD but a mechanical drive like this still can be useful as a backup or data drive, plus the space per $ still can't be beat, a similar sized SSD would be 3x the price at least. We use these at work and they haven't failed us yet.

I got what they had

Their new ones were really expsensive.....what few they had and so I was able to get a refurbished hard drive at a very good cost. I am happy with what I got but I might have done something different if I had gone to a store that was not closing.

Made the Mother In Law Happy!

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.While visiting the in-laws I was asked to check out why my MIL's laptop was acting "wonky". Troubleshooting quickly indicated a failing hard drive. Picked up this WD drive, found a YouTube video for her series laptop, and quickly swapped out the drives. Total time: 15-20 minutes. Restored the OS (which took far longer than the actual swapout) via the USB stick I'd created, and then reinstalled her apps. She's still thrilled with her repaired, yet faster laptop! I would recommend this to a friend.
