I am very pleased with my new hard drive. It game the life back to my laptop. Everything is working great.

The hard drive in my wife's Gateway NV55S was showing signs of imminent failure. Purchased this as a cost effective replacement (as opposed to a SSD upgrade) as the Gateway is likely due for replacement in the near future. Works as anticipated - expect it to outlast the four year old Gateway at this late date.

Needed a replacement drive for a Seagate 250 GB that was to be repurposed for something else. I have always had better luck with WD drives compared to other brands. Bought a similar WD drive at Best Buy before at a great price. It is running well, so I decided to go with this drive again. Installed and the PC has been running great with it since. Also installed WD drive tools and ran initial tests on the drive to verify there were no issues. Would purchase again.

Fixed the computer with easy installation - This new Hard Drive comes with nothing installed on it - a blank - I made the restore disk when I first got this computer and they worked great - I have a HP laptop that splits the hard drive C drive and D drive and the restore disks Did The Job. The instruction after opening the box tells you to have a professional install the hard drive - if you have made the restore disk when first getting the computer you should be OK if not there might be some problems loading it.

To date everything has been working just great. After getting used to the changes the new hard drive presented I was glad I had to replace the old drive. There were a few twitts that had to be attended to and your technicians took care of them immediately, My computer gives a performance I had forgotten about. Thank you for your trained Geek Squad and their expertise in computer hardware and software.

Its a solid performer, my laptop HD clunked out on me and this fit the bill quite nicely. Better then my original HD.

When my Sony Laptop wasn't working properly, I thought I had a virus or malware on it. I took it to the Geek Squad and was told that I had a bad hard drive...not a virus. They selected this hard drive and installed it for me. I am happy to say that so far so good and I am up and running again.

Drive works perfect. Installation and formatting was easy and the PS3 is much better with a larger drive in it. Nice and quiet too.

My son's laptop stopped working, so I took it into the Geek Squad. They informed that I had a hard drive failure but quickly advised they had one on sale. I purchased the hard drive and they installed it for me.y son's laptop is now up and running again. It was a great hard drive with a great price.

I have always tried to get WD hard drives, as they have worked very well for me and have been reasonably priced. They have a good warranty also. I think some of the black HDD's have a five year warranty.

A friend's laptop hard drive failed. The old drive was a Seagate, but I did not bother to check the age. I worked in the IT field for years and prefer WD drives. I purchased this new WD Blue 500 GB Internal SATA as a replacement drive. This drive was larger than the original and price was also a factor, which is why I chose it over a SSD. I needed a way to reimage the new drive from a backup image I had previously made that was on a WD EasyStore unit. Connected the Insignia 2-bay HDD docking station to my laptop, placed the old drive into it and verified the drive had failed and I was unable to access any info from it. I installed the replacement hard drive into the Insignia, then connected the EasyStore to my laptop. I initialized the replacement laptop, then restored the Acronis backup image from the EasyStore onto the new drive. Installed the replacement drive into the friend's laptop, booted up and all is running well. This drive has only been in use since May 2021, so I cannot speak on durability/longevity, but I have been using WD drives for years without any issues, so I expect they should get years of normal use from it.

Gave new life to my grandson's Lenova laptop and increased storage. Seems to work faster than when new.
