    I helped a friend that had a bad HDD. Tried several ways to check for errors, or corrupt or bad sectors, with no success. I ghosted the original HDD, removed the old HDD and inserted the new. I copied the ghosted data to the new drive and it was good to go.

    My lap top crashed, losing everything in the process. Geek Squad reset my lap top and installed this fine hard drive to essentially give me a new lap top with current version of Windows. Thanks, giys. All works well.

    My laptop was taking forever to start, and sometimes would not boot up for hours on end. Took it into the Geek Squad who were able to save my data and the new hard drive has my laptop running like new again!

    I got this hard drive when my laptop's default hard drive cratered. It was a Seagate and seeing the reviews on that model's performance, I decided to get Western Digital instead. Have had no problems whatsoever with this hard drive.

    bought it to replace a dead HD in an Alienware laptop. Dell lied when they told me I had to buy another Dell. Blue shirt at BB said I could use anything, and he recommended this one. Worked perfectly.
