Hi. So far the hard drive and Webroot have functioned properly, although I've already seen a few moments when they could have been faster. I also appreciate that your service person offered to install Windows 10. My problem is the way you sell the extra year service. You are not really going to give me a bad hard drive are you? And if you did, won't you replace or repair anyway (within, say, a few months time)? Even if you did decide I needed to pay for another hard drive, it would still be only another $80, less than half the price of the service. Ok, and I really appreciate that I didn't need to ask the obvious, in that you offer the internet security as part of the package, but why are you charging for it [I wasn't asked ahead of time... maybe I would have preferred another brand]. Just seems a bit tacky that $199 for for 1 year of service I hopefully won't need in the first year (if you did the work correctly) doesn't cover that. So, about recommending, I'd give a friend a recommendation with a heavy dose of "but, if..."

Drive works good. If you are trying to clone using the so called included acronis from wd...good luck. I would suggest a quick format and a 3rd party software. Price point is cheap enough but I'm sure there are drives out there that have included software that work for cloning.

These are my go-to drives. I've tried other brands when they've been on sale but overall Western Digital have given me the least amount of problems in the past 20 years that I've been installing hard drives.

Quick and simple replacement. Old HD crashed with windows 10 upgrade. Lots of bad sectors. Rebuild went without a hitch. Should have replaced in the first place instead of trying to repair it.

I bought this instead of having my Mac fixed at the Apple store. Within about an hr or less, my Macbook Pro was as good as new again! Saved myself about $75 by just doing it myself, It was so easy!
