I waited until it went on sale and I had some bonus best buy credits because I refused to pay full price. The xbox series x was only $500 with the same amount of memory and you get a lot more than memory.

Now I don't have to transfer games from my external SSD back and forth. I waited for the price to come down a bit, and it's still a little pricey IMO, but worth it.

Necessary for the series S because of how little storage the console comes with, and buying a normal usb storage device won't let you play optimized games

It also comes with a cover to protect the exposed inside for you to be able to carry it portably.

I now have more usable storage for my Series X games. Whether you buy this or the Seagate( I have both) you can be sure to have reliable storage.

I refused to pay what Seagate wanted to expand my storage so as soon as WD launched a competitor I jumped on it. Performance is just as good as the built in storage. Now if we could just get a 2TB version...
