Great backup hard drive tons of space and easy to setup

This product is great. Easy setup. Great value. I wish they had added twonky software and a network chord hookup option. It would then be perfect!

This was such a great way for me to add a ton of additional storage for my computer. I have a full backup of my system going automatically each week, and I can save any large video files to the external drive. The USB 3 interface is fast, so I don't lose any performance. This is a new favorite on my desk.

Recently I had a scare with some data loss and decided to back up every drive and computer and store off site. At least I would have access to everything as of a certain date. I checked out other brands — but always had good performance and dependability with WD. It’s been one month....so good so far. Formatting to Mac took a couple of minutes. I can recommend the drive at this point.

Drive works well over USB 3.0. If you're doing a long duration operation (long read/write copying or backing up to drive), you may need to put airflow onto the case. Normal usage is fine as is. You can also pull the internal drive out and use it as a normal SATA drive.

Exceptionally quiet drive. Plenty of space for MP4 converted DVDs and Blu-ray discs in my collection ( I have just topped ELEVEN THOUSAND movies, and I plan on purchasing two or three more of these drives, as I will need the extra storage space as I continue to convert my "disc-based" movies to the MP4 format.

The Western Digital Easystore 10 TB External USB 3.0 Hard Drive has been an excellent hard drive. I am able to backup all of my data, databases, photos, etc. onto this high capacity, fast, external hard drive. This drive works reliably, and the write speeds are 58 MB per second. I highly recommend this device.

Bought for a ps4 but ps4 can only handle 8TB as storage so I used it for saving my pictures from all devices and combine into one storage. I feel like everybody has to do the same. Keep your memories dated to show your loved ones one day in the future. You won’t regret getting this storage.

I have 4 of these “shucked” in a Direct Attached Storage Raid 5 setup that have been working perfectly under daily use for more than a year. I just bought another one to use as is for general backup and restore duties for rebuilds and system upgrades. Best Buy is selling these for a good price. Recommended

I have several smaller storage units but seems I constantly run out of room. After purchasing this unit I should be good for some time. The unit came out of the box and immediately went to work as my primary backup. Very easy setup and has worked flawlessly for a month now. Just plug and play.

Needed to back up a couple of older computers and a 3TB RAID. This did the trick with lots of room to spare! Haven't had any issues with it at all. I only use it for backup purposes or storing files, so I can't say if it works well as a working drive that you write and read to constantly.

Great drive to shuck for a NAS. Super easy to shuck and got a 10TB WD "White label" pretty much a red drive with a different FW.

I highly recommend getting this 10TB WD Easystore hard drive. It has read/write speeds comparable to more expensive NAS drives. I have never had any issues with these drives and you cannot beat the price for a good quality high capacity drive.
