Easy to install and use! Great

no problems at all, just reformat to use in mac os

Picked up this external drive when it was on sale and use it to store my media files. My only complaint is that the power adapter is huge and takes up 3 plugs on my power strip. C'mon Western Digital, there's no reason for that. It's not 1992.

Solid hard drive for movies, and multimedia stuff.

I shucked the hard drive from the enclosure so my review wont be that meaningful, but the drive has been running 24/7 in a nas since I bought it and I have had zero issues with it. These are only worth it if you can get them at a cheaper price than MSRP.

I purchased this drive to replace the Western Digital drive I previously used. This should be good for another 3 or 4 years.

I wish this would be as fast as my SSD, however having a 10 tb drive is perfect for storing my massive library of photos and videos.

I always buy WD, so far no problems. However, plan on a couple of days to transfer your existing hard drive to this one. USB 3.0 can only go so fast. I gave up after 2 days. Will have my computer guy transfer my old hard drives to a new solid state drive and keep this and the others for video and music files.

This external drive is a good value for the price. I use it to store pictures, documents, etc. from several PC's.

When I bought this I was excited, but I didn't expect it to make noises or when I connect it to the computer, it takes a while to connect and open in Windows Explorer. I tried to use it on Mac as well and had the same outcome. I am not sure if it's because the data storage is too large and takes time to load or the disk is just bad from being shipped with all the shaking. My dad bought one for himself like 6 months ago and it had the same problem as mine. I have a powerful computer and yet it's not working fast enough. I was going to take this back and get 12TB when I saw a similar deal with 10TB a few weeks ago, but I decided it wasn't worth it and I should stick with 10TB for now. It's good for those who have the patience for it to load up after connecting the USB cable into the USB port, but it's not worth buying for those who don't patience to wait all day for it to what it's gotta do. Maybe those who already purchased this don't have an issue with theirs, but I do have some issues with mine. I might RMA with this one. I will keep using it for awhile and back up stuff on another Hard Drive as a pre-caution.

I use this external drive to back up media and files from all the devices in my house. On sale, this drive is an excellent price to storage value. It simply plugs in via USB, working like an insanely large flash drive. I like knowing my data is copied in a location that's not in some datacenter far away.

Hoping for a long term storage solution. Have replace Seagate external drives at a less than yearly frequency. Have had good luck with WD in the past and hope it continues. Setup was easy, initially hooked it to my router but had problems accessing it, probably du to operator errors. Now attached to my PC.

good choice would buy two more but they don't seem to make it

I've purchased a few of these and use them in RAID on my Plex server. So far they run very well and do not have any hiccups. I just purchased another which was DOA but Best Buy is taking care of replacing it. I completely recommend these drives (especially for the sale price)!

This was 2 TB more than next model for only $10 more. Great space for external backups for the computer it is connected to.
