It’s not a SSD Drive. It’s not a super fast gaming drive. It’s storage... plain and simple and an awful lot of it. It’s reasonably fast and easy to use.

I've had this for a while now, and I haven't had any problems with it. The speed is fast because of USB 3, and the storage capacity is huge!

If you need this much storage capacity but don't need RAID redundancy or can afford the serious investment of a Drobo or similar solution, this definitely hits the sweet spot in the price for volume storage. Western Digital has never steered me wrong. I have functioning drives that go back 10 years and still have excellent health. Though the few over the years I have had go bad have lasted well into 5-7 year territory with simple SMART diagnostic tools giving me advance notice to migrate my data before serious losses were incurred. It certainly is a hefty price tag, regardless.

Excellent product, very easy to use and convenient way to store all your data, pictures etc. Will definitely recommend the monster 10 TB..

The capacity is great and speed is excellent. We use these to backup a lot of video evidence and records we just need to keep in digital storage for a while.

Purchased this harddrive on sale for $149.99. I have not had any issues with it what so ever. Setup was as easy as plug and play. Highly recommended.

I've had WD drives before and had few problems, so this was an easy call. I needed a new external when my old one of...geez probably years finally crapped out and this is a good sized drive for the money, easy to setup, and I've had zero issues

I purchased several of these 10 TB external drives over a year's time. I'm using one for offline storage and it works great. Transfer speeds are easily in the 80-100 mbps range. For some of the other drives, I shucked the case and found a white label drive inside and installed the drive in my NAS. My NAS did not have any problems with the power requirements of these drives and was able to see all the space available and formatted nicely. I've been running these drives in my NAS for about a year and I've had no problems.

I waited to review this due to testing. I love this thing. Carries all my media,easy to setup, quick transfer, and is extremely reliable.

You can never have enough space. With this monster, you might have enough space to last you forever. Easy to hoop up and use!

I needed a quick backup for RAID at work because one of the drives died. So I picked this up and it was quite fast moving the files from my Thunderbolt 2 Pegasus2 R6 RAID. It's small, quiet, and doesn't heat up. What more can you ask for at such a great price?
