This is a very shockable drive, it pops right out. They are still white label red drives but they are definitely air filled and not helium filled which means they tend to run a bit hotter. Either way when these go on sale I’m a sucker and buy to that I can shuck it like an oyster and pop it in my NAS. I would make sure you go above the 8TB because the 8TB and lower are air filled whereas the 10TB+ are helium filled and run cool.

Overall great drive - plenty of space, easy to hookup. My drive came with a rattle (it was shipped). I had to tinker with it to determine than an internal tab had broken off. Doesn't affect performance, but disappointing nonetheless. Overall recommend.

This hard drive works really well. Pretty much plug and play. Got it on sale for a good price. Good storage option.

I am a photographer and was looking for an external harddrive to store my photos. I like that it backs up to the cloud w/ everything that is on it. The storage is amazing for the size and the price. The only thing I dont like about it is that the outside material of the case is cheap. I wish it was made more sturdy and thicker so that if it falls over or gets knocked it wont break. Im afraid that some day that the case will fail b/c of its thin shell.

My old pc was dying and I got this to back up drive. Silent and easy to use. Too much of storage. But it was on sale.

Have been using Western Digital external hard drives for many years with great success. I purchased this hard drive in July, because of it's large storage size. The first thing I did was run WD drive utilities to check drive, no problems.I run a hard drive back up of my computer every week. Have not experienced any issues. My previous hard drives were much smaller and were filling up much to quickly. The 10TB is actually only 9TB of useable storage space.

i have a few of these hard drives. When they're on sale, you can't beat the size and price for storage purposes

I’ve been watching this item for a while and finally bought one. It is fast and a great size especially when there’s a sale.

I'm not particularly picky about how I store my pictures, but I could not pass up this much storage for such a low price. I've used WD products before, but never this much storage. I formatted it for my 2015 Macbook Pro and have had no issues so far. Highly recommend it! They usually go on sale from time to time, so keep an eye out.

I use the drives from inside these in my network attached storage device. They have plenty of space for my needs and run flawlessly. There are videos online of how to remove it from the enclosure and install it in a PC or anywhere else. I'd make sure it's working well before shucking it because removing it may complicate a return or warranty claim. Not sure because I've shucked 4 of them and never had any issues.

Great product and very easy to use. Love the fact the memory is sooo large for a good price. Also size is compact.

Bought this drive in order to house photos / videos (I do photography / video editing and such). Needed a place to store a lot of information. So far, the drive works perfectly - no defects or loss of data encountered so far. In addition, it's very easy to setup - all you need is an external power socket (one close by, the power cord isn't terribly long). Then you just plug in the USB cord to both the drive and computer, and you're good to go.

Purchased this for my XBox. Who would have ever thought we'd need 10TB! This is sleek and easy to set up.

Easy to use and set up. U loose about a terabyte to the set up folders. But still plenty of space and pretty fast

Great price for external drive @. 10tb! Very wick usb 3.0 interface. I shuck these drive to use in my nas.
