Good long term storage, bad USB 3.0 speeds

The files I transfer tend to be 5mb-20gb in range. Speeds are different depending on the size you transfer to the drive. Under 750mb stuff transfer to drive fast enough. 1-4gb files take anywhere from 10-45seconds for me on a USB 3.0. Yesterday I transfered a 20gb file to the drive and I timed it at 1hr. If you want a large stick for long term storage they worth it,if you need large storage + large file fast transfer speeds I wouldn't use this.
