      If you need a reliable, large capacity external drive look no further. These WDs are basically Red NAS Sata drives in an external case. If you choose to shuck them they work well internally in arrays but the warranty may go bye bye. Externally they run well with solid speeds and are USB 2.0 compatible if need be.

      I have several Western Digital drives. They are all very good. This one is no different. Due to the global chip shortage, it was quite pricey; but it was worth it.

      This USB storage is being used as a backup and is connected to a Western Digital My Cloud EX2 Ultra NAS storage device. The drives hold all my entertainment content and are accessible from any device, Mac and PC, from my home network. Highly recommend getting help from Geek Squad, unless you are a network wizard.
