Very nice hard drive, however, we were not aware that the PS5 only takes up to a 8 TB. We ended up using this on one of our other gaming consoles instead.

If you need extra storage for any kind of data. WD hard drives are a must. Its simple plug & use.

I bought 2 dozen of these and all passed their SMART test, no DOA. Through their USB3 port they are OK but no speed demon (about 16-18 MB/s), but connecting directly to a SATA3 port I see about 70MB/s sustained WRITE speed. That's decent for these drives; they're not 7200rpm. I have a chronic heating issue and these drives are cool, literally, and THAT is very important to me. btw, there are at least three different drives that might be inside the enclosure (serial # begins with 8 or 9 or A) and the WD120EMAZ (8...) has 3 mounting holes on each side.

Great external drive. Reasonably fast. I've had great results with other Easystore devices and I imagine this will be the same. Happy with my purchase.

I castrated it and mounted the drive in my nas. its a sata drive in a box toss the box.

This is fast, and works great! I was able to combine many of my smaller portable storage into one mass storage...my only complaint is the "spin up" time, but I think that has more to do with USB power saving than the actual unit itself.

Awesome product. I use it for backup purposes and considering current events...I think I need to purchase some more for backing all of my data.

Overnight I had to become a video editor using Final Cut Pro X for the church that I serve, posting prerecorded services to YouTube. My terabyte SSD on his MacBook Pro just wasn't big enough for all the library and rendering files. My dad found this and was gracious enough to buy it for me to use. I've used close to 3 terabytes already, and the hard drive is working as a hard drive should. Still going strong!

I have always used WD for external storage, the ones with moving parts back in the day were the worst especially if you have cats that knock them over.

Excellent price for a 12TB External USB 3.0 Hard Drive, pretty much plug and play (Download). Downloads files and folders really quickly. Haven’t had any issues with it so far. I’ve purchased several WD products, and they have all worked well without any issues so far.
