I've had multiple WD Easystore drives over the years, because they're inexpensive and get the job done. Interestingly, the 12TB model is not one I've had the pleasure of using, because it was lost in transit. That being said, things worked out in my favor, because the 14TB model went on sale, so I purchased that one instead, using the refund from the one that never arrived. It's fantastic!

I shucked this drive for the WD red drive that was inside. This drive has a white label but cross referencing the part number it is a red drive; with that perspective, this drive is much more affordable. I did file transfer via USB, only to test transfer speeds before installing the drive to the SATA port on my motherboard. Bottom line; great value, great brand. It all works as advertised.

It's great for storing adult videos that you want to keep.

This drive seems to work OK and love the large storage space. I use it to back up photos and videos. However, when it goes to sleep, it takes a little longer than I'd like to spin up, which slows down File Explorer, even when I don't intend to look into that drive. It's also pretty loud and sounds like it's grinding. It's pretty low pitched and more of a continuous thumping sound. Don't know why it has to be so loud. I have another WD drive that is only 1 TB and all I hear on that is the occasional fan noise.

got it when it was on sale, best buck you can get per TB. it is a white label. it does around 180MB on both read and write on MB SATAIII.

So I purchased this 12TB HDD for my Xbox One X to use as extended storage for games. I was previously using a 4TB 2.5 WD HDD but that got full within 2 years so I needed something larger. I purchased this for $200 and it works wonders. 12TB for $200 you can’t beat that. I highly recommend this to anyone.

Easy to use and store data. Bought while on sale and was a tremendous saving.

Great high capacity hard drive for massive storage potential. I have this hooked up to a Windows 10 machine with network sharing turned on. I'm using it as another backup solution to my NAS. Transfer speeds over the network when network sharing is enabled with Windows 10 is actually faster than my Drobo NAS which makes it a great low-cost alternative to a NAS.

We picked this up on sale for a Time Machine drive and it is great. It was automatically detected by our Mac and we reformatted it as a macOS drive so we could use Time Machine with it. The drive does get pretty warm during use, so would not recommend to shove it behind other equipment or have it sit on carpet. The USB cable on the drive end is also not super secure - Would have been better to be a USB Type B port that locks in place, otherwise it's easy to disconnect it when moving the drive around.

I got this on sale and so far works like a charm. no issues, very quiet. and very happy. New 14TB came out shortly after, so boo, but got those too. Love that they can stand up or be down. Usually always used seagate, but switched for 14TB and 12TB size and it standing up, saves more space and they don't have to lay on each other since i have 4-5 of these together.

Decent drive, pretty much what you'd expect from any WD EasyStore or Passport drive. Read/write speeds seem a bit random, not consistent, even testing moving same data to and from drive to same other drive.

IT solved my storage issue. It compact! 12TB for price is great.

Tons of terabytes in an awesome package, it was worth the price in my opinion
