This operates as described in the specs on the site. Glad I got it when I did because I went back to get a second one and did not buy a second one at the moment as the price went up considerably. Got the first one while it was on a "Black Friday" type sale.

Have always used WD hard drives and have never had a problem. Quick data transfer. Compatible with both Mac and Windows. Got a great deal during thanksgiving

I would only trust Western Digital with the cherished pictures and videos of my 7 cats. Ranger, Critter, Harley, Victor, Goku, Vegeta, and Puar.

So far no issues, ran a few short and long tests and there were no issues, filled to almost max capacity and it reads well. No issues and no complaints!

Running fine with my Ubuntu box. Drive is quiet and works as advertised. Speeds were around 120 megs a second during large file transfers.

I bought this drive during a black Friday sale and I've been using it as a Time Machine back up drive for my Mac for the last four months. It's worked great.

You can rip out the HDD (warranty ends in that case) to use in your NAS system or you can use the unit it comes embedded within. Great price when on sale too.

This is a very good hard drive specially if you want it for a NAS. The read and write speed are very high (Write speed >100MB/s and read speed >200 MB/s).

Now that cloud tech is taking over these bad boys have been going down in price. Great to have if you don't want everything on the cloud.

Had a lot of video in my hard drive. When and brought this 2 tearbit of space. Put all my training videos on it free up a lot of space on my hard drive.

Will not work with ps4 unless it's an 8tb or less. It would be nice if it worked with a ps5. Bought deal of the day at 90$ off. 8s work great.

Shipped and arrived as advertised, Works as advertised. Very easy to use but most external hard drives are. No problems, no need for support or customer service. Quiet and big hard drive.

I haven't even begun to fill up the 12TBs but it's had fast transfer speeds the entire time. If there were even bigger options I'd be on that too

Just purchased Feb 24, 2023 and stopped working today!!! Never moved it and called manufacturer and they can’t help me because the system has been down for two days and I need to call back and I can get a replacement but need to pay third party to recover my data! Very upset and I read same issues online. If I only knew!!! Can’t return it just missed my return date. But my data! 12 TB! Argh!

It was hard to set up, poor directions and failed after 4 months.

Bought 8... yes 8 of these on Black Friday for $179. Pulled the drives out and used them for my media server. No issues with the drives being detected.

Comparing Elements 12TB to EasyStore 12TB: Elements completed a format in approx 20 hours, Easystore over 80 hours!. Quick drive test for Elements about 2 minutes, Easystore over 8 minutes. Opened support issue with WD. After a few weeks of testing, I asked for a replacement EasyStore. Cost me about $5 to ship it back to WD, Replacement EasyStore Formatted in about 20 hours, Quick drive test about 2 minutes. SO EVEN if it passes the diagnostics, its performance was defective. Replacement drive seems fine, I probably got the runt of the litter, he was slow. Replacement seems fine.

I like the shopping experience. It is easy and I also find the item I am looking for. The people in the store are nice and polite.
