I doing this it works even better so I don't mind saving my photos and videos, Is also cost and that has a big memory made me pick this one

It’s so loud that it’s distracting. I have two external Seagate drives that are quiet as can be. Not super impressed with this. That being said, it works for my purposes and I got it on sale.

Never used remote access with our old one, so didn't want or need one that does that.

It doesn’t feel like the most durable drive. Would only consider this a “backup of backups” drive as it doesn’t feel like it would survive that long. Slower data transfer speeds than newer external HDs like GDrive/Lacie. Super slow compared to external SSDs.

It works pretty well for this purpose with tons of space. If I had one complaint it is it can be noisier than previous WD external drives I have bought. It makes a light “thunk” sound periodically. Otherwise it has been running fine for the past couple months.

The drive is fairly quiet and isn't loud when reading or writing files. I got it on sale during the holiday sales but I wouldn't buy at regular price.
