Not terribly fast. Main difficulty is that this—despite advertising—doesn’t play well with my M1 iMac. Downloaded new $20 NTFS for Mac driver, but it still doesn’t wake up after it goes to sleep. Have to force dismount and plug back in. Will probably have to return.

Plenty of storage without the cost of a real NAS device.

Great for backup and the speed is consistent, no loud sound which was a huge plus since i had other brands and it sounds like a boat.

Huge capacity pretty cheap. I got this external drive on sale for $200 and it's performed well. USB 3 means transfer times are decent.

Would love to tell you it was a great drive but it was making grinding noises when I plugged it in which meant it also wasn’t recognized by my Mac. Unfortunately, I had to send it back for a refer down.

Sadly the one I received was had bad sectors and I had to return it.

Bought two of these and they were both defective out of the box. The drives were noisy and spun up constantly. Transfer speed on usb 3.0 was under 50mb

Not a great drive, first one I got had something broken inside... the replacement after about two months of use it now make so much noise and rumble that I feel it on my desk!

Came mechanically defective. Cannot plug USB cable in. I have to open the case, reassemble loose parts and straighten some pieces of metal. The drive is otherwise fine. Made me worry about the overall quality.

Loving this brand, and for the HD size, its a very good investment. I like the design of the easystore versions and how fast they are recognized as soon as you plug them up to your computer.

Original order never arrived it got lost by Ontrac. Replacement has been a reliable drive

It works as advertised. I don't know how long it will last. I would be happier with a three year warranty.

Quiet fast drive for being a disk drive. Lots of storage for all my backup needs. Definitely recommended.

MacBook stopped recognizing it after 2 weeks and had all my photos on it -- luckily I didn't delete from the original folders I transferred from. WD wants me to send it in and the process is horrendously manual and long. Wasted $200 to have this paper weight.

Only reason I got it was for a Black Friday sale. Otherwise its definitely not worth the price. It's bulky and needs to be connected to a power outlet. Setup was a bit confusing and took a bit of time to finally use it.

Good Device but missing a rubber foot, tried to get one from WD and they told me they would ship me one for several weeks then said they don't have them and I'll need to send it in and get a refurb as a replacement.

Had for a few weeks and it died. HDD stopped spinning and you could just hear the click, click, click of the drive trying to spin, but would never actually spin. Lost 10+ TB of data and hours of organization.

Drive works great. High capacity and fast transfer speed. Seeing about 200 MiB/s transfer speed.
