Made the purchase because I was going to backup my data. Well took to long to start the backup process because I can no longer return the HD back to BestBuy. Had 15 days to return and it's now one month and 15 days.

Defective unit and price increases

I even trouble shoot the second unit with WD support desk - who were great! Best Buy was great in swapping out the drives but it was a PIA. Price was great at $249 but it is not listed at $309. Give me a break!

WD Could Be Better

It said to transfer 2TB from one of my drives to the WD would take over 24 hours which does not make any since since I transfered 2TB to my Lacie and its only took 6 hours total. So, WD is not worth it.

A lot of non backed up data is inaccessible. I know its a mechanical drive but I wasnt expecting it to last only 4 months.

However, I know the WD products work amazing, so it was just that I didn't know how to reformat it to my laptop.
