This thing has been great for filing my movies and videos. They basically all I have on there. The write speed is not slow but not fast either. It is fairly loud though, but I got it on sale and like I said it does what it needs to do.

Had my previous computer die on me, decided to invest in not losing my data next time. Lots of storage, got it at a good price

Good disk, great price. Runs a little hot in the case, you might want to put a small fan blowing on it. Tested with WD DLGDIAG extended test, no bad blocks.

Was so glad to purchase this WD easystore external hard drive for a near bargain price. This was something I could not pass up. There is so much hard drive space, I could split it up 3 ways to back up my desktop and laptop along with my mom’s laptop, or even clone one of these PCs if I wanted to.

I use this as a backup and to host my media files on Plex. It replaces a 10GB Seagate External Drive. Performance on the WD is than than my Seagate.

Easy to set up even for mac. Runs fine with a little noise

So far I like it, but it does make some different sounds that I heard and wasn't sure what it was. It is the hard drive starting up when I login to my computer. So far it works great and seems to be plenty fast for what I am doing. I may move it to the other side of my tower to hopefully cut down some of the noise it makes. It isn't loud, but a noise that I hear. Some people may not even notice it.

Large capacity drive, great for tons of backups. WD reliability

This drive is much faster than I expected for a magnetic hard drive of this size and price. I am getting up to approx 200 GB/s writes which is quite good compared to what I used to get years ago on these class of drives.

Bought during a sale for 200 and it's definitely the best price point per TB and should be picked up anytime it reaches < 15/TB

Amazing drive. From the WD Family this is my 10th. All have been running 24/7 for 2 years now. No errors. When on sale (~200) it's an amazing deal.

I got this external drive for an amazing deal. I pretty much use it as a NAS by connecting it to my router. I have been using it for backup purposes for over a year and it's still working great.
