I bought it when it was on sale and for the price you can't beat it. I'm using it as storage for my plex and so far it works great.

This drive is much faster than I expected for a magnetic hard drive of this size and price. I am getting up to approx 200 GB/s writes which is quite good compared to what I used to get years ago on these class of drives.

Great deal on a huge external hard drive. This can hold lots of media or backups. Easy to connect and the HD itself is worth it.

I don't know how WD and Best Buy continue to offer up these amazing 'easystore' external hard drives but I'm glad they do. I have probably acquired at least 4-5 of these with the 14TB model being the latest. They are normally shucked and placed in a media server as additional space is required. Sometimes they require a special power connection setup; sata to molex to sata. At any rate, these are reliable as can be and fast enough to stream UHD 4K video.

Works great! It's a white label NAS drive inside. Was able to easily shuck it from the case & use it in my computer as internal storage. Just make sure you run the WD Tool test on the drive to see if it's in perfect working condition before you shuck it! With a drive this big, it will take many hours, but it's worth it to know if you got a bad drive or not. Ideally its best to connect it to a spare PC & run the WD Tool test there so you can still use your main PC.

Got this one a deal on Bestbuy and it’s really great for the storage. Light weighted and easy to access.

IT HOLDS A LOT OF MOVIES AND FUNCTIONS QUITE EFFORTLESSLY.

WD easystore/elements have treated me well with 10 drives varying from 8tb-14tb. I've used them all to shucc successfully. This particular 14tb drive has been performing good for me and did not require the sata pin modification. The hard drive inflation is the only negative unfortunately as this drive would normally be $100 cheaper on a regular, deep sale. I did use the 15% coupon for WD recycle and save so that did help offset the price increase a bit.

Like many, these are bought to shuck which in this case was a WD white. Hoping for a red. At this point you are getting a quality WD drive you can either use as purchased or shucked for the drive. The sale price was great so overall a 5 star with a little tarnish for white vs. red.

The storage disk is very large, prepared a lot of movies for the children, can be carried at any time, when going out to play, you can watch at any time, very suitable for family use, its capacity is so amazing, recommend to buy it. We like the infinite fun it brings.

Great cheap easy to confifure; the lack of an on off switch is weird

I needed a larger hard drive for my video server, I chose the Western Digital 14TB drive for its capacity & great price.

It is an excellent external hard drive, massive capacity and is very quick. Very affordable for the data capacity.

A Very Nice Portable Drive. I have 3 Easystore Portable Drives, 2TB, 5TB and this 14TB drive. I find they work great for my purposes. I'm not a knowledgeable computer person when it comes to 'drive speeds', etc., but I know these Easystore drives are easy to use and are fast enough for my Audiobooks, Photographs, Movies and PC back-up needs. For me, the Price was right as well. I would recommend these drives for all computer users.

Great drive, use them in a raid array and for backups. Drives are a good price per meg when on sale

It's a Western Digital Easystore hard drive. Not much more needs be said. These are good, relatively cheap hard drives. Yes, it's still a spinner, but that's okay when you want massive amounts of storage.
