Works like a charm. I got this drive mainly for music files and storage to organize my work. It doesn’t leave home so it will last many years.

It runs cool. It has a lot of storage. It is very quiet. Great price on Black Friday. Quick SMART test showed no errors. Took 5 days to reach 90% on the complete test, no errors so far. Downside is that it is STILL at 90% on WD Drive Utilities complete testing. It's been like 240 hours running that test. How long is it supposed to take? WD help is less than helpful. They advised me to use WD Dashboard. I guess I'll stop the test and try that.

Best Buy had a very good sale on this item at the time I purchased so I was able to get my money's worth for sure. The hard drive works great, set up took a little research to be found on my network but was easy to figure out.

I needed something to store all my games, videos and pictures and was tired of running out of space, now this thing is wonderful it truly a plug and play device and i have not had to buy any other product since this purchase.

This drive can be "shucked" by removing the case and the USB adapter board. Once the drive is pulled from the case, you can use it in a PC for storing movies or other data internally. At the sale price of $200, this is a great deal. It's not a super fast drive, but for storing movies and music it is perfect.

Reliable and quiet, high capacity, fast read/writes

I use this for old footage from previous clients, great option for things you want to keep but won’t necessarily access regularly. Obviously slower read and write speeds than ssd options, but reliable storage!

This drive is a good choice if you want a great deal of storage...presumably for backup (don't rely on a single copy of anything, make duplicates). So far it has worked flawlessly. It is fast using the USB 3.0 connection. If you have a lot of stuff on your computer, this will allow you to protect it all.

Easy to setup. Huge drive. I use it for movies and works great.

Solid drive. Quiet, not much vibration. Doesn't get hot, seems to run fairly cool even when transferring large files or when in heavy constant use. Lots of storage. I haven't had it too long yet. I hope it will last me many years.

My son's addiction to xbox game collection has driven me to purchase something that provides for compatible game play and can hold most of his gaming library. This HDD has certainly done the trick, and hopefully lasts him awhile before running out of space (again). Great price for the size and purpose.
