Installation is easy. It works right away. Over a month of usage now, I have no issue with the performance. I am happy with my purchase.

Seems great and intended. I connected to my router so that i can store files and access it from all my other devices. If you move the hard drive left /right it makess sound .. might be of fan, I am not sure. Seems good at the price.

I got this 14TB at less than US200, and found a WD140EDGZ inside it after shucking, which was perfect for my Synology NAS. Random read speed of small files from this HDD at about 50% storage capacity was significant faster than my Ironwolf, so it can't be SMR. Quite happy with the purchase.

Nothing is better than being able to back up ones images. Especially when your a nature photographer shooting raw images in the thousands a day!

I was tired of paying money every month to store all my pictures and files. This is a high quality, easy to use alternative.

I'm happy with my purchase and recommend the hard drive to others. My only concern is when you can sometimes hear the hard drive operating within. This doesn't happen that often, but I have noticed it at times. Other than that, it's a good pickup.

Backing up my ever growing catalog of photos and video fills the smaller drives very quickly. This drive's USB 3 interface makes copying faster and the higher capacity lets me store more in the same footprint. I'll be adding more of these.

This is my second one. The other is full and I put on my shelf so I can go to it when necessary. These work great and have held up well. I highly recommend.

Best Bang for the buck. Rule of thumb, grab them when they go on sale for $199. This makes the cost per terabyte under $15, which is the sweet spot. I've purchased one for each family member to have them hookup to their computers as dedicated backup drives so I have less to worry about.

The price of this hard drive was great due to sale and the recycle coupon / discount offered by Best Buy. I ran the WD tests on it and it passed so I hooked it up and started using it. It's doing good so far, and I hope it lasts a long time like other internal drives I purchased have.

Very simple to use. Windows 11 automatically recognized it and made it accessible to use. No formatting required. Very easy!

It is not a speed demon, but also not bad. For piece of mind when backing up computers or using apples Time Machine it does the trick for a good price and blends in nice enough. I’ve always had pretty good luck with WD and haven’t had one fail on me so far. If you are looking for long term archival it’s probably better to pay less for smaller sizes. Fill them by subject matter, then label them and put them in a closet. That way there is less searching 5 years later and less overall wear on those drives. But if you want a big drive to collect everything in one place this works if you don’t need to edit 4K video from it. I don’t use the software that comes with but it’s a nice touch if you don’t have any backup software and are unfamiliar with backup solutions.

I've purchased well over 25 of these easystore drives, and not a single one has had an issue. They all pass the several tests I throw out them out of the gate, and only 1 has failed over the 6 years I've been using them - and that one after 5 years, with a warning ahead of failing. Feel comfortable buying them!

Great for backing up computers and archiving large files. We purchased it to back files and work product for our graphic design and animation department. It was easy to set up and worked well for multiple users. It was not fast enough for 4K video capture. We didn't purchase it with that in mind but tried to use it when another external hard drive failed.
