I like this drive's large storage, and it performs just fine, but the drive tends to be slow on initial access. This is mostly true if you haven't accessed it in a while and it has to wake from sleep mode. Otherwise, the drive is great.

I got this on sale around Christmas time for my wife to back up her work. It’s nothing special but it is 14 TB it didn’t cost me a car

Excellent archive drive. Been using it for 10 months and no problems yet. Using it as a back up for music and photos. So far, so good.

Works well. I use it to save files and share document. Sometime it is nice I can connect it to my network and share it to all my devices.

Connected it to my WD NAS server to extend the storage capacity. Use it to store my movies for my media server. Works fine. Great Black Friday sale for $200.

Great product! Works perfect with Windows 10. No need to reformat the drive and perfectly suitable for data back up. I have already used this product for 10 months and it has never failed to boot up and always has been recognized by OS. Data transfer is very fast. Only downside is that Windows reads around 12.6 TB drive instead of 14 TB.

Was getting low on space on my server, so this drive solved that issue. I actually own two of these now. I have yet to have a 3.5 Western Digital drive fail on me.

Using this to store a large number of video files for streaming with plex, Fast enough to work with streaming of the video without any buffering, and a great value for the price.

Great deal for $189 for a 14TB drive. I was running low on storage on my existing internal drives and this allowed me to expand with enough capacity for at least the next few months.

Good value and fast drive. If you're looking for a large storage, then this is a good buy. I am disappointed the actual usable space is only 12TB. Not sure why 1/7 of the space is needed for software utilities and whatever miscellaneous things needed to run this drive.

This is my second WD storage, the first from 2 years ago still works great so I got this again. Great for my data backups.
