      Purchased it for my mac, works well. The only issue is if you use your mac its better to just reformat the drive. If you use the tool WD provides it becomes problematic when you try to share the drive. It was easier to use MAC OS Extended Journaled. I got the drive on sale. Just hope WD honors their warranty.

      For the most part, over the last 20 years, the major brand hard drive manufactures have all leveled out to about the same quality and reliability. Western Digital has historically been a good drive over the past 5 years. The 14TB has a huge storage capacity. Great for backups.
