The external hard drive was somewhat simple to set up. Just plug and back up with a tiny bit of online research since my MacBook didn't display the drive immediately. Now there is no need to be concerned about data loss with this semi easy backup option.

Pictures still are on my laptop. Vey confusing. So the external hard drive may be doing it's job I'm wondering why pics show up on my laptop.
