easy setup, works great using usb 2 on my OLD laptop. Doesn't make up you signup for services like Seagate always does

You can never go wrong with WD items, especially the 1TB hard drive. I just love the transfer speed on it.

This product was purchased for doing backups on my computer. It was very inexpensive and so far has been working great.

the best value for the amount of hard drive space. However, the external container for the drive is not as strong and protective as it could be. Also, it is not a SD drive, and so can fail if dropped.

Perfect size for what I need it for to keep important documents and projects. Light Weight and portable better than my bigger external I have.

I was looking for an external hard drive, with a lot of storage, at a good price. I looked at solid-state drives, but they cost a fortune for much smaller storage capacity. The Western Digital hard drive provided the storage I needed, at a cost I was willing to pay. Western Digital was a name I could trust, so the decision was easy. We've now had it for a year and it has performed perfectly. We're happy with it and recommend it.

This is a great way to store a bunch of files you rarely access. Setup and configuration are easy and flexible. These drives typically last years and you out grow their size or speed. I believe they are a great value when you want extra space or portable back up. I don't rate them excellent only because I consider them a commodity and the grade is more of a pass/fail. These fit the two jobs; backups or extra file space.
